Find of the Week | 47

When I travel somewhere, I try not to collect things.

I would rather flood my camera roll with pictures that I can have printed later. Of course, there are a few exceptions to this rule—shopping at boutiques in Le Marais is a great example—but I try very hard not to buy anything frivolous for myself.

While I was in Le Marais a month ago, I couldn’t resist going into Diptyque. I didn’t need to buy a perfume, honestly. I could have waited until I went back to the United States and walked a few doors down from Theory in Westport to the Diptyque there.

But I was chasing the experience. It made sense in the moment.

I rotate between using Florence and Cleopatra eaux de parfums by Tocca and Eau de Sens by Diptyque. Do Son, the Diptyque fragrance I bought in Paris, is more floral and feminine than Eau de Sens, exactly what I was looking for. I was given a sample of the Do Son eau de parfum and found it more powerful and seductive in the fragrance’s more concentrated form.
